During
the day, children in schools are studying a wide range
of instruments. Our teaching staff uses exciting and
contemporary material so the lessons are enjoyable
as well as informative. The children are encouraged
to practise at home to ensure good progress and can
eventually work towards their grades. Even if the
children choose not to take music exams in their instrument,
they often gain an appreciation of music that can
last a lifetime.
At
each School we can provide music tuition in the following
instrumental categories:
If
you are interested in any of the above please contact
us for more information.
If
you are interested in your child having instrumental
tuition at school, please note the following:-
When
we timetable the lessons we ask parents for their
preference for individual, shared or group lessons.
Although we do our best to accommodate everyone’s
preference we cannot guarantee that they will get
their first choice as it depends on how many children
take up the lessons?
The
first terms' tuition fees are to be paid in advance
by cheque before your child can commence lessons and
are non-refundable. Each term offers between 10 to
12 lessons and the costs range from £66.00 (group),
£84.00 (shared) to £132.00 (individual)
per term. If your child starts lessons and then decides
not to continue you must give half a term's notice
(5 weeks), notifying Music for You in writing.
Please
note that although Music for You supplies an instrument
for use on the day of a trial lesson, each pupil will
require their own instrument for use during weekly
lessons and at home. Music for You has a sister company,
Instruments for You, which offers both a monthly rental
scheme, complete purchase and a hire-to-buy service.
Instrument rentals are between £10.00 - £15.00
per month, hire-to-buy prices vary depending on the
cost of the instrument but all purchases using this
format require an initial payment of 1/3 of the total
cost of the instrument.
Continuation
of Lesson
Students
who currently have instrumental lessons do not require
a 'Trial' lesson. Parents who wish their children
to continue instrumental tuition via Music for You
are required to complete the attached form noting
the information above about regular lessons. Music
for You will then be in contact once full lesson arrangements
have been confirmed with the school.
